Basic Clamshell Handset with Reasonable Price Tag

LG Gentle is a new clamshell phone of the LG announced in July, 2015. The design of this phone is though old with a modern set of features. Its large keys on keypad make it easy to use device for the elder people who face problem in dialing number in other touch phones. Moreover, many youngsters too like flip phones, we can't set its limit to older people only. It brings a 3.2-inch screen, 3.0 MP camera, Lollipop OS, Quad-core processor and 1700mAh battery. It might lock its horn with upcoming, Samsung Galaxy Folder (2015) which also designed by using same form factor. Let's take a brief look on its specifications below:

Display and Design

On the outside, this phone comes crafted with faux-leather that provides premium feel to the phone. Its front flip houses a 3.2-inch display that offers a 480x320 pixels resolution and 180ppi pixel density. For the comfort of use, it has large keypad with many usable buttons. Dimensions wise, it has a height of 117.7 mm, width of 58.7 mm (overall), thickness of 16.6 mm (overall) and it weighs at 143 grams. Its leather coated body provides gentle touch to the users and one can easily handle this phone in hand.

Processor and OS

It comes powered by a 1.1GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor and Adreno 304 GPU. It is coupled with 1 GB RAM to handle multitasking. Though it is not a good unit of RAM and processor to handle multiple operations efficiently. The operating system version offered in this phone is a latest Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.

Camera and Memory

For camera lovers, it has 3 MP camera on the back panel with digital zoom feature. It provides a picture resolution of 2048x1536 pixels. For the front shots, it has 0.3 MP camera which offers normal quality selfies. To store the important stuff, there is a 4 GB internal memory. It also allow microSD support for expanding storage level.

Connectivity and Battery

It has a Bluetooth, GPS, USB and Wi-Fi 802.1 b/g/n support as a connectivity features. Moreover, it also support 2G GSM, 3G HSDPA and 4G LTE network. While, SMS, MMS, Email and IM are some of its messaging facilities. For the backup, it depends upon 1700mAH battery.

The LG Gentle has two attractive shades including Burgundy and Navy. It is expected to be priced around INR 11,000 (approx.,may vary).
