LG has announced its newest smartphone, LG G3 in May, 2014 which is set to launch in June. It is known as LG G3 D850 in Europe and LG G3 LS990 in Sprint. The box packs a handset, battery, charger, earphone, USB cable and a warranty card. Let's check out this phone in detail.

Design and Display

The LG G3 is crafted from good quality materials in order to provide durability and reliability to the users. The floating arc design makes the sides more thinner and allows easy one hand control. The phone comes with a height of 146.3 mm, width of 74.6 mm and a thickness of 8.9 mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 149 grams. The overall look of phone is impressive with a nice wide Quad HD display of 5.5-inches which delivers vibrant colors and ultra sharp images in 2560x1440 pixel resolution. This true HD-IPS LCD capacitive display is protected by the corning gorilla glass 3.

Hardware and Software

The smartphone is powered by the fast Quad-core, 2.5 GHz Krait 400 processor with Qualcomm MSM8975AC Snapdragon 801 chip-set and Adreno 330 GPU. The LG G3 runs on the latest version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system. It comes in two variants: one with a RAM of 2GB and internal storage of 16GB, while other with a RAM of 3GB and a 32GB of internal storage. The external storage can be expanded up to 128 GB via micro SD card.

Telephony and Messaging

The LG G3 operates on 2G (GSM / EDGE), 3G (HSPA +42Mbps / HSPA +21Mbps) and 4G (LTE) frequencies. One can store an unlimited number of contacts to the phonebook. The SMS, MMS, email, push-mail, IM and RSS are the messaging and email facilities available for this smartphone. It also features predictive text input which makes typing easier and faster.

Camera

The 13MP primary camera with dual flash, optical image stabilization, laser auto-focus, Geo-tagging, face detection, HDR, simultaneous image and video recording can take 4160x3120 resolution pictures. One can click clearer and brighter pictures even in the dark. The front facing camera has a 2.1MP count that enables you to video calling.

Entertainment

The music system is featured with a 1W speaker and boost amp that plays clear, low, deep, high pitch sounds without the use of additional speakers. One can record 2160p and 1080p full HD videos on to the device. It also comes pre-loaded with interesting apps and games for the entertainment of users.

Connectivity and Battery

The connectivity attributes of the LG G3 includes GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro USB port, NFC and Infrared port. It also has a A-GPS and GLONASS support. The device has been fueled with a replaceable Li-ion 3000mAh battery along with an option of wireless charging. It offers you a longer lasting usage time.
