The Xolo has announced a new 'Pocket Pad' in April, 2014. The pack includes a pad, Charger, Earphone, USB Cable, User Manual, Warranty Card and a Flip cover. The details are given below.

Design and Display

The Xolo Q2500 is an elegant looking pocket pad. The pad is based on the bar format which makes it comfortable to use. It comes with a height of 168mm, width of 83mm and a thickness of 8.5mm as its dimensions. It flaunts a IPS LCD display of 6.0 inches with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. It has an optimized touch software which responds to touch signals quickly.

Hardware and Software

Housing the device is a 1.3 GHz Dual-core processor with a MediaTek MT6582 chip-set and Mali 400-MP2 GPU.  The Xolo Q2500 has a RAM of 1GB and an internal storage of 4GB which can be expanded up to 32GB with the help of a micro SD card. It runs on  Android v4.2 Jelly Bean which can be upgraded to Android v4.4 KitKat operating system.

Telephony and Messaging

The pocket pad has a dual SIM (GSM+GSM) support. Lava Xolo Q2500 has the capacity to store a long list of unlimited contacts. The device features SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Mail, IM and RSS which keeps you in touch with your contacts. The device has an option for predictive text input which makes the typing faster and interesting.

The device has a 2MP front facing camera which enables you to video calling. The video camera can record 1080p full HD videos.

Connectivity and Battery

On the connectivity front, the device includes 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, EDGE, GPRS and micro USB. The phone also features A-GPS which helps in navigation. The pocket pad is powered by a 3000mAh battery which offers 2G talk-time of up to 40 hours and up to 15 hours on 3G along with a standby time of up to 600 hours on 2G as well as 3G network.

Browser and Applications

The HTML5 browser of the pad responds quickly to the on board applications. Xolo Q2500 comes pre-loaded with various applications like Document Viewer, Google Search, Maps, G mail, Google Talk, YouTube, Calendar, Image and Video Editor.
