KitKat Based Smartphone With Large Display

Lava has done new addition in its Iris series with 'Iris X5' smartphone. It was announced in August 2014 and it comes with dual SIM configuration. Its a camera centered phone which promises a wonderful camera experience. The wide screen and attractive design of phone make it stand out in a crowd.
Display and Design
This elegant device hosts a 5.0- inch IPS capacitive touchscreen with one glass solution, 16.7 Million color depth and it provides a display resolution of 1280x720 pixels. This big screen is ideal for viewing pictures, playing games, and watching videos. Measurement wise, it has a length of 143.5mm, width of 71.5mm, thickness of 7.9mm and it weighs at 134 grams. The device is quite a handful which fits into your palm easily.
Processor and OS
Processing the phone is a 1.2GHz Quad- core processor, Broadcom VideoCore IV GPU that is coupled with 1GB RAM to control its tasks. While, basic operations of the phone are handled by Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.
Camera and Memory
For the photography, it brings a 8MP camera at back which provides a pictures of 3264x2448 pixels resolution. The LED flash and auto- focus feature with main camera allows you click clear pictures in dim light condition. Whereas, it comes equipped with 5MP camera on front for the selfies. For storage, it supports internal memory of 8GB along with microSD card support of 32GB for additional storage.
Connectivity and Battery
The connectivity features of the phone includes EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPRS, Bluetooth, GPS and OTG Support. It operates on 2G and 3G network frequencies. While, it draws a backup from Li-Ion 2100 mAh battery which promises a 2G talktime of 6 hours and standby time of 200 hours. On 3G, it provides talktime of 4 hours and standby time of 200 hours.

Lava Iris X5 comes in only Grey- Black color and it is available to purchase at Rs. 8,540 approximately.
