By AmritLava International launched Iris Alfa, a budget friendly Android smartphone in January, 2015. It comes packed with all the necessary features required in a 5- inch handset to provide consumers an amazing smartphone experience. It is a dual SIM device and has dual standby option. Its features and specifications are discussed in detail below:
Display and Dimensions
It supports a 5- inch IPS fully laminated FWVGA display that provides a resolution of 854x480 pixels. It shows off a color depth of 16.7 million. The phone dimensions are 141X71.4X9.2mm and weighs 156 grams. It comes loaded with accelerometer sensor, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor.
Processor and Operating System
Powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor it is paired with 1 GB RAM. The device works on Android 4.4 KitKat with FOTA (firmware over the air) support and comes packed with Truecaller premium – a mobile number search application, Rs 2000 worth free downloads offer on Hungama Music application, an entertainment app and Adaptxt keyboard that supports 11 Indian local languages.
Camera and Storage
Lava Iris Alfa houses a 5 mega pixel with LED flash exhibiting a resolution of 2592x1944 pixels. It also boosts full HD video recording and digital zoom with built in auto-focus. On the other side, it has VGA camera in order to make video calls or to click selfies. It is equipped with 8 GB internal memory which can be additionally expanded upto 32 GB via microSD card.
Connectivity and Battery
The dual SIM smartphone supports 3G connectivity apart from GPS, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi and handsfree support. The device comes with 2200mAh battery which the Lava claims, delivers upto 22.7 hours of talk time on 2G and upto 14.5 hours on 3G.
