Good Features At Low Price

Karbonn Mobiles is an India based telecommunication firm which is a joint venture between the Jaina Group and UTL Group. Karbonn K39 is a basic featured phone that has packed some good features at a low price. Its box contents include a handset, battery, charger, user manual, earphone and warranty card.

Design and Display

The phone has got a bar shape with curved edges that makes it easy to use and carry. Its front panel consists of a small screen and a silver bordered square shaped D-pad that has two keys on its left and right sides. Below it, there is a black colored alphanumeric keypad which is comfortable to use. The back panel is a plain surface and has a camera affixed on the top left corner, a loudspeaker grill on the top right corner and the company's logo embossed at the bottom. K39 has got a 1.8 inches QVGA display with a resolution of 128x160 pixels .Its dimension figures includes a height of 118.5 mm, width of 41 mm and thickness of 14.5 mm.

Hardware and Software

It works on the Proprietary Operating System and has the ability to store 500 contacts, 200 SMS and 20 MMS in its memory. Its storage capacity can be expanded up to 16 GB with a microSD slot. So, you need not to worry about the storage while downloading or transferring files to your phone.

Telephony and Messaging

It is a mini SIM phone that supports two GSM connections, but you can use only one network at a time. It works on the Dual band GSM 900 / 1800 MHz frequencies. For messaging, it supports SMS and MMS along with the T9 dictionary to help in typing accurately.

Camera

For the clickers, it has a 0.3 MP camera at the back with Zoom facility that gives fine pictures. You can also record videos with its camera.

Entertainment

Coming on the entertainment front, it comes packed with quite a few goodies to keep you busy. It has inbuilt MP3 player for music and support MP4 player for videos. It also supports videos of AVI format. Its FM radio feature comes with the recording option, that means you can record your favorite show or song from the radio. User can set MP3 format ringtones on the phone or switch to the vibration mode if in a meeting.

Connectivity and Battery

On the connectivity part, the phone is GPRS and WAP enabled. It also carries a Bluetooth but it does not has the A2DP support. It carries a Li-ion battery of 1800 mAh that claims a standby time of up to 350 hours and talktime of up to 10 hours.

Other Features

Apart from the basic features like alarm clock, organizer, calender, clock etc it comes loaded with features like torch, auto call recording and English and Hindi language support.
