Karbonn is one of the leading mobile brands which was founded in 2009 in Bangalore, India. It is a joint venture mobile manufacturing company between Delhi based Jaina group and Bangalore based UTL group. The company has announced the A99i, a Dual SIM smartphone in June, 2014. The box packs a handset, charger, earphone and a user manual. The specifications of phone are discussed below.
Design and Display
Karbonn A99i is an average looking phone which features a plastic body but its glossy look attracts the consumers. The silver detailing on the borders compliments the look of phone. The A99i flaunts a TFT capacitive touchscreen of 3.97-inches which provides a resolution of 480x800 pixels and has the ability to display 16 Million colors.
Hardware and Software
The A99i is powered by a Dual-core 1.3 GHz processor and a RAM of 512 MB that has enough power to handle the on-board applications. The phone has an internal memory of 4 GB which can be expanded to another 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. It runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
Telephony and Phonebook
This dual SIM device operates on GSM 900/1800 MHz and HSDPA 2100 MHz frequencies. The phonebook can store an unlimited number of contacts. The phone is also featured with SMS, MMS and email facilities.
Camera
Karbonn A99i has a primary camera of 5 MP which provides a resolution of 2592x1944 pixels and is featured with an LED flash and digital zoom. The VGA front-facing camera is also there for video calling.
Connectivity and Battery
The networking and connectivity options loaded in the phone include GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth, hands-free, Wi-Fi, micro USB and GPS. The A99i is equipped with a Li-Ion 1200 mAh battery which offers a good battery back up.

The Karbonn A99i is available in two color schemes which are Black and White. This decent phone is priced around Rs.4,789.
