Karbonn is a mobile manufacturing company and the A119 is another Android flagship from the company, released in July, 2014. It comes packed in a box with a charger, battery, headset, USB cable, user manual and warranty card. The phone is discussed in detail below.
Design and Display
The Karbonn A119 is a compact smartphone with stylish looks. It measures 124.1mm in height, 65.3mm in width and 10.8mm in thickness. It has a weight of just 95 grams which makes it light and easy to handle. It comes with a 5.0-inch QHD capacitive display of 480x800 pixels resolution.
Hardware and Software
The smartphone is powered by a Dual-core 1.3 GHz processor coupled to a RAM of 512 MB. It has an internal memory of 4 GB which can be expanded further with the help of a micro SD card. The A119 runs on the Android version 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The phone has enough power to handle the on board apps.
Telephony and Messaging
This dual SIM device supports dual-band GSM 900/1800 MHz and HSDPA 2100 MHz frequencies. The SMS, MMS, IM and email are the messaging and emailing facilities available for the device. It also features predictive text input for easier and smoother typing.
Camera
The Karbonn A119 has an 8 MP rear camera which has the ability to capture 3264x2448 resolution shots. This auto-focus camera is also featured with an LED flash for low light imaging. The secondary camera has a 2 MP count which allows the users to take 1600x1200 pixel resolution selfies and enables the video calling facility.
Connectivity and Battery
There are number of connectivity options loaded in the phone which includes GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth with A2DP, hands-free, micro USB, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot and GPS with A-GPS capabilities. The device is energized by a lithium-ion 1600 mAh battery to ensure a better usage time.
