Huawei P8 is flagship device launched by company in April 2015. Huawei is a multinational company headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong founded in 1987. The Huawei P8 has a secret nano-coating that helps it to make splash resistance. Huawei's P series borrows its design from I-phone and Sony's Xperia's design. It looks sleek, powerful device with some unique features. The smartphone comes with G-Sensor, gyroscope sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, compass and accelerometer sensor.
The 5.2 inch FHD screen is almost bazel free with a resolution of 1,920 x 1080 pixels and the entire device is carved in an aluminium unibody. For screen protection it comes with corning Gorilla Glass 3. Its nano molding technology helps a smartphone with a seamless plastic signal transceiver. The smartphone is only 6.4 mm thin. It has dimensions of 144.9 mm x 72.1 mm x 6.4 mm and weighs around 144 gm. At 424 pixels per density it supports 16 million colors.
Huawei really invested in making a top level camera for P8. The device has a 13 MP camera on its rear panel with 4 color RGBW sensor that aims to improve contrast and reduce noise in low-light conditions. Most camera only have tri-color sensors. Another highlighted feature of its camera is DSLR level image signal processor which improves exposure, white balance and natural colors. The front panel of the smartphone houses a 8 MP camera for video calling and self-portrait.
The chipset used by the device is HiSilicon Kirin 930, Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 processor for improving performance and energy efficiency as well. The processor is paired with 3 GB of RAM. The smartphone is available in two inbuilt memory options one is with 16 GB and other is 64 GB. We can expand it through up to 128 GB with the help of microSD card.
The smartphone packs in a Li-ion 2680 mAh battery. The smartphone is said to run for 2.3 days of normal use and 1.5 days for heavy usage. In terms of connectivity, it supports GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 /1900 /2100 MHz and LTE B1 / B2 / B3/ B4 / B5 / B7 / B8 / B12 / B17 MHz. Other options are Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, hotspot, Bluetooth v4.1, A2DP, LE, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS/ Beidou, microUSB v2.0, USB Host.
Its 16 GB variant is available in Titanium Grey, Mystic Champagne colors while, 64 GB variant is available in Carbon Black, Prestige Gold colors. The expected price for these two variants is Rs. 36,700 for 16 GB inbuilt storage and Rs. 43,300 for 64 GB Inbuilt memory.
