Huawei Ascend Mate 2 4G is the latest phablet by Huawei and is a successor of already available Mate. It was unveiled in January, 2014 at CES 2014 and will soon be available in the market. It has been a big topic of discussion because of its striking features such as Reverse Charging that lets this phone serve as a power source for other phones, a new intuitive interface and a brilliant front camera. It comes in a box with a charge adapter, a data cable, a safety information, a warranty card, a quick start guide and a built-in non-removable Li-Ion 4050mAh battery with standard usage time of 60 hours, 3G talk time of up to 25 hours and 4G web browsing time of up to 9 hours. The battery uses Huawei QPC and ADRX smart-power saving technology to save up to 30% of a phablet's battery life. It has a height of 161mm, a width of 84.7mm and a thickness of 9.5mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 202gms and runs on 2G(GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz), 3G(HSDPA 850/1700/1900/2100MHz) and 4G(both TDD-LTE and FDE-LTE) network frequencies. It is available in crystal Black and pure White shades with the price details being announced in the coming months.
Huawei Ascend Mate 2 4G has a 6.1-inch, capacitive and multi-touch, LTPS LCD touchscreen display with a HD resolution of 720x1280 pixels, 16M color depth, 241ppi pixel density and corning gorilla glass protection. It has got a RAM of 2GB along with an internal memory of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 64GB via a microSD memory card. It is an Android v4.3, Jelly Bean OS based phablet with Emotion UI 2.0, a quad-core 1.6GHz Cortex A7 processor, a Qualcomm MSM8928 Snapdragon 400 chipset, an Adreno 306 GPU, some fabulous sensors such as accelerometer, proximity, gravitation, gyroscope, light, compass and OTG and a lot of other features which includes a 3.5mm audio jack, a loudspeaker with Dolby mobile sound enhancement, a HTML5 browser, stereo FM radio, GPS with A-GPS support and Glonass, Java via MIDP emulator, active noise cancelation with a dedicated mic, a video and an audio player with a lot of supported formats, an organizer, a document viewer, a photo viewer/editor, voice memo/dial/commands, turn-by-turn navigation, voice recording, tethering, computer and OTA sync and many more.
Huawei Ascend Mate 2 4G has also got a 13.0MP rear camera with a resolution of 4128x3096 pixels, BSI sensor, 28mm lens, f/2.0 aperture, digital zoom, auto focus, LED flash, auto face enhancement, HDR, panoramic mode, geo-tagging, touch focus and face detection and can even record videos of 1080p@30fps. It also has a 5.0MP front camera with a resolution of 2592x1944 pixels, digital zoom, panoramic view, f/2.4 aperture and auto focus for video calling and selfies. For messaging, it includes SMS, MMS, E-mail, Push mail, IM and integrated social networking sites along with predictive text input. For connectivity, it has a GPRS and EDGE, a v2.0 micro USB port with USB Host, a v4.0 Bluetooth with A2DP, LE and EDR, WLAN feature with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, Wi-Fi direct, DLNA and Wi-Fi hotspot, 3G speeds of HSDPA 42.2Mbps and HSUPA 5.76Mbps and 4G speeds of LTE Cat4 with 150Mbps for download and 50Mbps for upload.
