Huawei, one of China's leading mobile brand announced Ascend GX1, a mid-range phablet in December, 2014. It's an extra-large, fairly affordable running Android that is definitely not designed to cater the flagship- buying users. The box contents include charger, handset, battery, headset, USB cable, user manual and warranty card. Let's take a quick glance at its features and specifications:
It exhibits a gigantic 6-inch screen enhanced by a HD IPS 1280x720 pixels resolution of 16M colors. Its pixel density is 245ppi. From a design perspective it looks sleek and thin, with a simple plastic design. The dual SIM phablet packs some impressively thin bezels considering its massive size. Dimensions are pretty impressive bearing 161x84.5x9.2mm, highlighting almost 81% screen to body ratio. It carries a weight of 173 grams.
Powered by 1.2 GHz Quad- core processor along with 64- bit Snapdragon 410 chipset is mated to 1GB RAM for giving fast performance. It works on Android v4.4 KitKat operating system.
The smartphone is equipped with an 8MP autofocus shooter and LED flash at the back along with a 2MP front snapper. The primary camera is quite capable to click HD images while the secondary shooter is fixed to enjoy selfies and video calls. The user can record 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. As far as memory is concerned, it has 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded upto 32GB by using microSD card.
The handset packs a hefty 3500 mAh battery providing up to 720 minutes of talktime and can be fully charged in just over 4 hours. Talking about connectivity department, the smartphone has space for 2 SIM cards which can be used on multiple networks, along with Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-FI, EDGE and GPRS.
