HTC has added a new eye catching invention HTC One M8 Harman Kardon Edition in the market. The phone is just an advancement to its predecessor, HTC One M8, with almost same features and specifications except the audio features.
HTC M8 Harman Edition features a bold and brushed metal design. It has a decent 5-inch Super LCD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. It recognizes even the slightest touch. The smartphone has 146.36mm of height, 70.6mm of width and 9.35mm of thickness as its dimensions along with a weight of 160 grams. It has been fueled with a battery of 2,600 mAh which is pretty good.
Under the hood, the phone holds a powerful configuration. It has assembled 2.3 GHz Quad-Core processor and 2GB of RAM. It operates on the latest Android 4.2.2 KitKat Operating System with HTC sense. Along with that it has 16 / 32GB of in-built storage which can further be expanded up to 128GB. This makes it a really robustly configured smartphone. Presence of Accelerometer, Proximity, Gyro, Compass and other sensors ensures effective operations.
The phone supports 2G, 3G and 4G networks. It features Voice dialing, Contact history, Voice Memo and Unlimited Phone book capacity. The quality of phone is really good. It avails SMS, MMS, Push Mail, Email, IM, T9 dictionary to ease messaging. Support of Social Networking Services makes the handset more useful.
There are lot of features to ease in viewing / editing photos and playing videos. It has the image viewer, image editor and video player already installed. Making itself unique from its rivals, the phone comes with a Harman Kardon headset. Its Clari- Fi technology restores the compressed music and LiveStage technology enhances the listening experience. Plus beautiful color combination of Grey-Gold speakers and Black brushed back further increases its demand. The preloaded music player supports almost all the formats. Plus the presence of 3.5 mm audio jack ensures universal acceptance of inputs. The overall quality of speakers is really good but the audio setting have a limited appeal.
The phone supports a 4 MP UFocus rear view camera that provide a resolution of 2688x1520 pixels. Rear camera comes with features like Auto Focus, Dual LED Flash, Geo Tagging, Face Detection, Zoom, 1/3” Sensor, Panorama, Smile Detection etc. It also avails a 5 MP front camera that provide a resolution of 2592x1944 pixels. The user can also record videos on the phone. It provides a full HD resolution of 1080 pixels which is amazing.
On the connectivity front, it supports connection with - Wi-Fi, Mobile Hotspot, 4G, 3G, 2G, NFC, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, Handsfree and USB. All this at a good data speed. The phone also avails GPS with A-GPS to help in navigation. This means maximum work can be done with just a click.
Various other features that make the smartphone complete are Motion Launch gestures, BlinkFeed, full world of apps, attending calls without touching, front stereo speakers with dedicated amplifiers, various security and locking features and so on. Also Integration of TV and phone is supported with features like Program guide, Intelligent remote, HTC Sense TV Sports and Social feeds.
The smartphone is truly a value for money product. It has numerous features and also the reviews of experts are good.
The smartphone is available in Silver, Grey and Gold colors.
On a concluding note, HTC Harman Edition is pretty good but it makes no difference to HTC One M8. With the same features, same looks and same configuration, it is better to stick to HTC One M8 only.
