HTC is a Taiwanese manufacturer who designs smartphones and tablets since 1997. Its headquarters are located in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The company has announced a new smartphone, the HTC One E8 in June, 2014. The box packs a handset, charger, headset, USB cable, user manual and a warranty card. Let's check out this smartphone in detail.

Design and Style

The One E8 is specially designed for the fashion conscious people. The sleek, ergonomic and dual curve shape makes it easy to hold and stand out from the crowd. The device is crafted from polycarbonate uni-body frame that imparts a striking appearance to it. The power key is placed on the top while the volume rocker keys are present on the right side of the phone. The smartphone comes with a height 146.4 mm, width of 70.7 mm and a thickness of 9.9 mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 145 grams.

User Interface and Comfort to use

HTC One E8 is powered by a Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 processor with a Qualcomm MSM8975AC Snapdragon 801 chip-set and Adreno 330 GPU. It has a 2 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 16 GB which can be expanded to another 128 GB via micro SD card. The device comes with accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass and barometer sensors. It runs on the android v4.4.2 KitKat operating system. The software of One E8 is optimized for touch that responds as soon as you touch it. The phone has HTC Sense 6 UI that offers the capacity to adjust sound and screen brightness according to the environment. The smartphone also features intuitive gesture response which allows you to control the shortcuts without turning on the phone. The Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen of 5.0-inches provides a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and has the ability to display 16 M colors. The above mentioned features are for user's comfort and easy to use statistics.

Telephony and Messaging

This Dual SIM device operates on 2G (GSM 850/900/1800/1900), 3G (HSDPA 850/900/1900/2100) and 4G LTE frequencies. The One E8 has the capacity to store an unlimited number of contacts to the phonebook. There is a SMS, MMS, email and push mail facilities available for the device.

Camera

HTC One E8 boasts a rear shooter of 13 MP that takes 4128x3096 pixel resolution pictures. It is also featured with an LED flash, auto-focus, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama and HDR. While, the secondary camera has a good 5 MP count that enables the users to video conferencing.

Multimedia

The HTC Boom Sound stereo system with dual stereo speakers, built-in amps and balancing software offers an amazing listening experience. The device itself corrects the bass to treble levels for a smooth and strong sound quality. It also features a video player that can record 1080p full HD videos on to the One E8.

Connectivity and Battery

On the connectivity front, it has GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, micro USB v2.0 and Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP. It also features A-GPS support and GLONASS that facilitate navigation. HTC One E8 is fueled by a non-removable Li-Po 2600 mAh battery which offers a talk-time up to 26 hours 40 minutes and standby up to 504 hours on 3G network.

Shades

The smartphone is dipped in four royal shades that are Electric Crimson, Maldives Blue, Polar White and Misty Gray.
