High Tech Computer Corporation ( HTC ) is a Taiwan based company that deals with the manufacturing of smartphones and tablets. It packs its mobile phones and gadgets in a simple yet attractive designs. HTC Desire X is one of its masterpiece that was announced in August, 2012 and is still popular among customers. Its box contents includes a handset, charger, battery, USB cable, user manual and warranty card.

Design and Display

With a notably slim profile of only 9.3 mm at its thickest point, the HTC Desire X is relatively lightweight, weighing only 114 grams. It features a beautiful 4 inches Super LCD, multi-touch capacitive touchscreen that is based on HTC Sense v 4+ User Interface and provide a resolution of 480x800 pixels. Talking about its looks, the phone has a fabulous design with the desirable exterior.

Hardware and Software

HTC has given the phone some very impressive set of specifications. Desire X is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon, Dual Core processor that run at 1 GHz speed. It comes fitted with 768 MB RAM and integrated with the Adreno 203 Graphics processor. Android v4.04 Ice-Cream Sandwich operating system which can be upgraded to v4.1. Jelly Bean OS. Talking about its storage, its internal memory stands at 4 GB which is expandable up to 32 GB with a microSD card. Along with that HTC provides a 25 GB cloud storage on Dropbox.

Telephony and Messaging

It is a Mini-SIM device that operates on 2G GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz and 3G HSDPA 900 / 2100 MHz network frequencies. For messaging, it facilitate SMS, MMS, Email and Push Mail along with the support of T9 dictionary and Predictive Text Input feature. It also features Voice Memo for sending / receiving audio messages.

Camera

The device excels in the photography department. It has integrated the 5 MP rear shooter with the features like dedicated image chip, continuous shots, smart flash, Geo-tagging, videopic, auto-focus, digital Zoom and LED Flash. Its 2.8 mm lens has a F2.0 aperture and consists of a BSI sensor to take decent pictures in low light conditions as well. The camera gives a picture resolution of 2592x1944 pixels.

Entertainment

HTC Desire X comes loaded with a host of exciting features to keep you busy. For the listening pleasure, it has a music player powered with the Beats Audio system. Along with that it has a video player, image viewer, voice recorder, image / video editor, Stereo FM radio with RDS support and games. The music player and video player supports all the popular formats and has a studio like sound quality. User can stay in touch with the relatives and friends with the use of social networking services like Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, YouTube etc. The built- in HTML 5 browser and the Java support further lets the user download numerous games and applications from the android market. Plus the support for 3.5 mm audio jack lets the user to use any fashionable or suitable headsets with the phone.

Connectivity and Battery

The smartphone comes bundled with a long list of comprehensive connectivity options which include the support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, EDGE, GPRS, DLNA, micro USB, Bluetooth with A2DP, GPS and A-GPS. This means your max work can be done with just a click. The data is transferred to and from the web at a HSDPA speed of 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA speed of 5.76 Mbps.

Shades and Price

The phone is available in White/Black, Prussian Blue shades at a price of Rs 13,613 approximately.
