HTC has added one more member in its Desire series named as 'Desire 600 Dual SIM' It was announced in May and released in June, 2013. It is a Dual SIM phone with dual stand-by. The box contents that comes with HTC Desire 600 are Battery, Charger, USB cable, Earphone, User manual and warranty card.

Display and Design

For detailed view, Desire 600 Dual SIM boasts a 4.50-inch qHD Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen with a 540x960 pixels resolution, 16M color depth and a pixel density of 245 ppi. It has a length of 134.8mm, width of 67mm, thickness of 9.3mm along with a weight of 130 grams as the measure of its dimensions.

Processor and Memory

It runs on Android v4.1.1 Jelly Bean operating system to create remarkable performance and speed. At the heart, it packs a 1.2Ghz Quad-core processor  coupled with 1GB of RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset and Adreno 203GPU. In the terms of storage, it supports in-built memory of 8GB and an expandable memory of up to 64 GB provided by microSD card. It also features proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor and accelerometer sensor.

Camera

To capture life's precious moment, it offers auto-focus rear camera of 8MP with LED flash which provides a picture resolution of 3264x2448 pixels. Some additional features of the camera are 1/3.2 sensor size, geo-tagging, SmartFlash,face & smile detection. It is also capable of recording 720p video at 24fps. At the front, it supports 1.6MP camera with BSI sensor for video calling and selfies.

Music and Sound

For entertainment, it has FM Radio with RDS and 3.5mm audio jack with a  dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers and a studio-quality sound with beasts audio. The playback audio formats supported by Desire 600 are mp3, .wav, .wma, .amr, .aac.

Telephony and Messaging

You can send SMS, MMS, Push Email and Email to your loved ones through this phone. It is also able to store large number of contacts. Other features offered by this phone are predictive text input, document viewer/editor, organizer, SNS integration, calender, Java MIDP emulator. It also allow its user to use Google search, Gmail, Youtube and Google Talk.

Connectivity & Battery

To connect with other devices, it offers Bluetooth, v2.0 microUSB, WiFi, GPRS, WiFi HotSpot, EDGE, NFC, GPS and AGPS. It works on both 2G (GSM 900/1800/1900 -SIM 1 & 2) and 3G (HSDPA 900/2100) network frequencies. Under the hood, it comes loaded with a removable rechargeable Li-polymer 1860mAH battery which provides a 2G talktime of 11.40 hours with 3G talktime of 11.10 hours and a 2G/3G stand-by time of up to 539 hours / 577 hours respectively.

Shades and Price

HTC has offered only two colors for this smartphone such as Gray and Black. It is available in the market with the price tag of Rs. 21,391 (approx., may vary).

Verdict

It is a feature rich phone with powerful battery support. The fast processor and excellent sound quality make it different in its segment. Overall, HTC Desire 600 Dual SIM is a good combination of performance and design.
