The HP Veer has a compact, streamlined design similar to that of an elongated pebble. It’s relatively small for a smart phone, but still has a lot of good features for its price and size. The compact size, however, sometimes makes tasks difficult to do, and prevents maximum usability of the phone. It’s no larger than a credit card, which users may find handy when they are always on the go.
The 2.6-inch touch screen has a good quality resolution for its limited space, but it makes simple tasks like reading emails hard because of a lot of scrolling. The keyboard is placed on a slide-out panel under the display and it is on the QWERTY format. The HP Veer runs on WebOS, thus enabling the user access to 4G connections, email, chat, and social network accounts. For a small and cute smart phone, the usability is acceptable, but a slightly bigger screen would have been more appreciated by users.
