Google Nexus has been a line of mobile phones and tablets that operates on Android Operating System. Google deals with the development and marketing of these products but most of it is carried out by its third party partners. Google Nexus 9 Wi-Fi is one such product that is expected to be manufactured by HTC.
The dimension figures of the tablet would be apparently 226.3 mm in height, 151.9 mm in width and 7.9 mm in thickness along with a weight of 151.9 grams. HTC is expected to build this tablet using aluminum zero-gap construction thus making the device look slim and having good built quality. Its front would be adorned with a wide and beautiful 8.9 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1440x2048 pixels resolution and 281ppi pixel density.
Its unmatchable hardware specifications would include a Quad Core 2.2 GHz Cortex A-15 processor powered by the latest 64 bit Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset. It will be accompanied by ULP GeForce Kepler Graphics processor which would ensure high end graphics quality. The assemblance of 2 GB RAM and 16 / 32 GB on-board storage would ensure faster applications and enough space for storing files. The latest Android v 4.4 KitKat Operating system working under its hood would make the multitasking easier than before. Assistance of Accelerometer, Gyro, Proximity and Compass sensors would further enhance the operations. Overall the Nexus 9 will give a top-notch performance.
The tablet is expected to work on 2G, 3G and 4G network frequencies. Since it will support a SIM so messaging facilities like SMS, MMS, Email, push mail, IM, voice memo, voice dial and calling facilities can be expected from the device.
Nexus 9 would come equipped with a 8 MP rear snapper with features like Digital Zoom, LED Flash, auto-focus, face detection, touch-focus, geo-tagging and optical image stabilization. This would give a picture resolution of 3264x2484 pixels. Along with that it will have a 3 MP front shooter that would provide a resolution of 2048x1536 pixels.
On the entertainment part, the device is expected to be loaded with the basic utilities like music player, video player, image viewer, video recorder, social networking services and games. The Java environment and inbuilt HTML 5 browser support would further let the users download various games and applications. The support of loudspeaker, 3.5 mm audio jack and stereo speakers would enhance the capabilities of the tablet.
Moving to networking side, the prime attraction of the tablet is its connectivity capabilities. Users can connect with the web using options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, DLNA, GPRS or EDGE. For data transfer between devices, Nexus 9 supports Bluetooth with A2DP and USB connectivity also. The data will be transferred through various connectivity options at an uplink speed of 50 Mbps and downlink speed of 150 Mbps. The inbuilt GPS system with A-GPS and GLONASS support would further help in accurate navigation. In terms of battery, it will be fitted with a non-removable Li-Po battery however there is no statement on the size of battery.
