G-Tide GP51 is a dual SIM phone which was announced in August, 2011. The box content includes a handset, charger, battery, earphone, data cable, user manual and warranty card. Let's check out this phone in detail.
Design and Display
The G-Tide GP51 is an average looking phone based on a bar format. It comes with a height of 104.2mm, width of 57.5mm and thickness of 12.6mm as its dimension figures. The front panel features a QVGA touchscreen of 3.2-inches which gives a resolution of 400x240 pixels. There are only three hard keys present below the display.
Hardware and Software
Unfortunately, the device is not powered by a processor and operating system. It has a RAM of 64 MB and an internal memory of 256 MB which can be extended further with the help of a T-flash card.
Telephony and Messaging
The G-Tide GP51 is a dual SIM device with dual standby which operates on 2G (GSM 900/1800 MHz) network frequencies. The device comes with SMS facility which is featured with T9 dictionary in order to make typing easier.
Camera
The device comes equipped with a 0.3 MP main camera which provides a photo resolution of 640x480 pixels. It is also featured with a digital zoom, smile detection, continuous shooting, scenes and multi shot. There is no front-facing camera in this phone for video chatting purposes.
Connectivity and Battery
There are limited number of connectivity options available for the GP51 which include GPRS, Bluetooth, USB port and hands-free connectivity. It is equipped with a Li-ion 1200 mAh which delivers a talk-time of 6 hours and standby time of 275 hours.
