Celkon, a mobile manufacturing company, ranked as sixth largest mobile producer in India has announced a new model named Celkon C8040 in April, 2014. The phone has a height of 125.5mm, width of 68mm and a thickness of 12.6mm as its dimensions and a weight of 95 grams. It supports dual SIM (GSM + GSM) functionality.

C8040 has a screen size of 4-inches which provides a resolution of 320x480 pixels and 144 ppi pixel density. The LCD display has a capacitive touch and is multi-touch in function. It has a primary camera of 1.3-megapixel and is featured with digital zoom. The camera provides a resolution of 1280x1024 pixels. It supports 2G (GSM 800/ 1900MHz) network and has a expandable memory of up to 16 GB. The device runs on Proprietary operating system.

Celkon C8040 is equipped with a Li-Ion 1600mAh battery which provides a talk-time of 5 hours and a standby time of up to 240 hours on 2G network. The connectivity attributes of the phone includes USB, GPRS, Bluetooth and hands-free connectivity. It has FM radio, music and video player for the listening pleasure and entertainment. There are number of Polyphonic ring-tones available for the phone. Other features of the phone includes Organizer, Calender, Clock and SMS integration. It has got accelerometer sensors and some pre-loaded games. There is no color scheme available for the phone except Black. The box contents includes Handset, Charger, Battery, USB Cable, Earphone, User Manual and Warranty Card.
