BLU Vivo IV is the slimmest smartphone in the world having decent configuration. It got announced in May, 2014 and is available in market now. Its box contents includes a handset, battery, charger, earphone, data cable, user manual and warranty card.

Dimensions and Display

The phone has been carved in a bar format. It has an aluminum body covered with the Corning Gorilla Glass Protection at front as well as at back. It has 145.1 mm of height, 70.2 mm of width and 5.5 mm of thickness as its dimensions with a weight of 129 grams. Vivo IV has got a 5 inches, capacitive and multi-touch super AMOLED touchscreen with a full HD resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and 441ppi pixel density.

Hardware and Software

It has paired the 1.7 GHz Octa Core Cortex A7 processor and 2 GB RAM with the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean Operating System which can be upgraded to Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS. ARM Mali-450 GPU has been made responsible for the graphics quality. Its on-board storage stands at 16 GB but the phone does not support a microSD slot for memory expansion. Presence of Accelerometer, Proximity and Ambient Light sensors ensures effective operations.

Telephony and Messaging

BLU Vivo IV is a Dual SIM phone that runs on 2G ( GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz ), 3G ( WCDMA 2100 MHz ) and 4G ( LTE 700 MHz ) network frequencies. On the messaging front, it supports SMS, MMS, Push Mail, Email and IM along with the inbuilt social networking services.

Camera

For the camera seekers, it has a rear camera of 13 MP with Zoom, Auto-Focus and LED Flash feature that provide a resolution of 2592x1944 pixels. Other camera settings include Face Detection, Geo-tagging, Panorama mode, HDR mode and Full HD video recording. For selfies, it has a 5 MP front camera with a resolution of 2560x1920 pixels.

Entertainment

Coming to entertainment part, the user can enjoy the inbuilt music player and Android video player on the phone. Along with that user can view images, read different types of documents, record videos, listen to FM radio, play games or can use the inbuilt applications like Gmail, YouTube, Google Search, Maps and Google Talk. Plus availability of 3.5 mm jack and DTS powered speakers further increases capabilities of the phone.

Connectivity and Battery

The device comes with the connectivity options for Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth and USB. It also features GPS with A-GPS support to help in navigation. The phone has been fueled with a non-removable Li-ion battery of 2300 mAh.
