Low price, huge display screen: The Blu Studio 5.3

BLU is a lesser known, low profile brand in the US though it is one of the industry leaders in Latin America. The Blu Studio 5.3 is a dual SIM phone with a huge, 5.3 inch screen size. The large screen may appeal to users who like working with a large display of icons and keyboard. However, it lacks a stylus. The Studio 5.3 was launched in December, 2011 and is available at a price of $260. But do not be misled by thinking that it is just a cheap knockoff. This phone is designed with soft and smooth curves to fit comfortably in the hands.

It is equipped with a single-core processor of 800 MHz and an Android 2.3 operating system. Another impressive feature is the internal memory of 512 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM and a 5 MP camera with an LED flash. Its cheap price constantly draws comparison with the Samsung Galaxy Note that is also a 5.3 inch Android smartphone but is really expensive. Other than the price rest of the features of the Blu Studio are no match for the Galaxy Note. The touch screen is a mere 800x480 making resolution a weakness of this phone.
