BlackBerry Curve 9315 is a 35-key, back-lit, narrow QWERTY keyboard, optical trackpad, smartphone announced on January, 2013 and launched in the successive months. It comes in a pack with a removable/rechargeable Li-Ion 1450mAh BlackBerry J-S1 battery with a stand-by time of up to 432 hours, a talk time of up to 7 hours and a music playback time of up to 30 hours with headset usage, a charger, a 3.5mm stereo headset, USB cable and a quick user guide. It has a height of 109mm, a width of 60mm and a thickness of 12.7mm along with a weight of 103gms and runs on 2G(GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and 3G(UMTS 1700/2100 MHz) network frequencies. It is available in Black shade.

BlackBerry Curve 9315 has a 2.4-inch, transmissive TFT LCD with a QVGA resolution of 320x240 pixels, 164ppi pixel density and 65K colors display. It has a 512MB RAM and an internal memory of 512MB which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card. It has BlackBerry 7.1 OS along with a single-core 800MHz processor and a few sensors such as light, accelerometer, compass and gravity.

It has other features such as stereo FM radio, GPS with A-GPS support, BlackBerry maps, M3/T4 rating for hearing aids, HTML browser, an integrated hands-free speakerphone, a 3.5mm jack, an audio player supporting formats such as .mp4, .m4a, .3gp, .3gp2, .m4v, .avi, .asf, .mp3, .wmv, .wma, .flac, .ogg, .aac, .amr, .wav and .mid, a video player with supporting formats such as .mp4, .m4a, .3gp, .3gp2, .m4v, .avi, .asf, .wmv and .wma, a picture viewer supporting formats such as .bmg, .jpg, .gif, .png, .tif and .wbmp, an organizer, voice memo/dials, BBM and related apps, computer sync, OTA sync and many more.

BlackBerry Curve 9315 has a 3.2MP rear camera with a resolution of 2048x1536 pixels, 4xDigital Zoom, image stabilization, extended depth of field, geo-tagging, LED flash, face detection and can play as well record VGA videos of 480p. For messaging, it has SMS, MMS, E-Mail, Push E-Mail, IM and SNS integration. For data, it includes a GPRS, EDGE, WLAN feature with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, dual-band, Wi-Fi direct and Wi-Fi Hotspot, a v2.1 bluetooth with A2DP and EDR and a v2.0 microUSB port.
