Blackberry 9720 is a Mini-SIM, Qwerty keypad Smartphone by BlackBerry which was released in August 2013. It comes in a pack with a removable Li-Ion 1450mAh Battery with a stand-by time of up to 432 hours, a talk time of up to 7 hours and a music playback time of up to 30 hours, a charger, a 3.5mm headset, a USB cable and a user guide. It has a height of 114mm, a width of 66.33mm and a thickness of 12.07mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 120gms and runs on 2G(GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and 3G(HSDPA 850/900/1900/2100 MHz) network frequencies. It is available in two shades which includes White and Black at a price of INR 15,000.
Blackberry 9720 has a 2.8-inch, capacitive, IPS touchscreen with a HVGA resolution of 480x360 pixels, 16 millions colors display, 214ppi pixel density and optical trackpad. It also has a 35-key, backlit, narrow qwerty keyboard. It has a 512MB RAM along with an internal memory of 512MB which can be expandable up to 32GB via microSD memory card.
It is a BlackBerry OS 7.1 based smartphone with 806 Mhz Tavor MG1 processor and a few sensors such as accelerometer, proximity and ambient light. It also has a BlackBerry desktop software including BlackBerry media sync for transferring photos, musics and videos. It has other features such as HTML browser, a stereo FM radio with RDS, GPS with A-GPS support, BBM key, an organizer, a document viewer, voice memo/dials, predictive text input, a loudspeaker, a 3.5mm jack, on-screen or LED indicator for notification, an integrated speaker and microphone, bluetooth handset capable and many more features. For messaging, it has SMS, MMS, E-Mail, Push E-Mail, IM and SNS integration.
Blackberry 9720 has a 5.0MP EDOF rear camera with a resolution of 2592x1944 pixels, 4xDigital Zoom, LED flash, geo-tagging, continuous image stabilization and can play as well as record videos of 480p@30fps. For data, it includes a GPRS and an EDGE, a WLAN feature with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Dual-band and Wi-Fi Hotspot, a v2.1 Bluetooth with A2DP and EDR and v2.0 microUSB port with 3G speeds of HSDPA 7.2Mbps and HSUPA 5.76Mbps.
