By Mandeep

BlackBerry 7100x was one of the cellphone from the Charm series(7100 series) of BlackBerry which was released in February 2005. This series gave rise to a new predictive text technology called SureType with a Qwerty like layout, allowing a user to use full keyboard and text support with a standard phone keypad. Also, this series was more consumer oriented rather than business, unlike earlier BlackBerry cellphones. It came with a Li-Ion battery with a standby time of up to 192 hours and a talk time of 4 hours. It had a height of 114mm, a width of 56mm and a thickness of 20mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 120gms and ran on 2G network frequencies. It had got a 2.2-inch LCD display screen with a resolution of 240x260 pixels, 65k colors display, 161ppi pixel density and some wallpapers.

It had a RAM of 4MB and an internal memory of 32MB along with some features such as an organizer, messaging(SMS, MMS, IM) with predictive text technology, a lots of Java downloadable games, a USB port, a loudspeaker, computer sync, a HTML browser, a BlackBerry OS, GPRS, a Bluetooth and a few other. It was carried by Airtel, Vodafone and T-Mobile and is discontinued now. But, it can be bought at limited dealers at a price of INR 5,140.?
