BlackBerry 7100i was a Smartphone from the 7100 series of BlackBerry models which introduces Candy bar form factor instead of a discrete Qwerty keyboard. It was released in 2005. This was also the first series of BlackBerry which was aggressively aimed for consumers rather than businesses. It has a height of 119mm, a width of 58mm and a thickness of 23mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 145gms and runs on iDEN 800/900 MHz network frequencies. It also has a Li-Ion 1000mAh battery with a stand-by time of up to 90 hours and a talk time of up to 2.90 hours. It got the features such as computer sync, a 2.5mm headphone connector and Java downloadable games.

BlackBerry 7100i has a good 240x260 pixels resolution LCD screen and 64MB of built-in storage memory. It also has a speakerphone with handsfree mobility, a bluetooth, an integrated phone functionality, a push-to-talk long-range digital walkie-talkie, supports MIDI and ADPCM ring tones, an advanced and intuitive SureType keyboard technology with Qwerty layout for easy and accurate messaging, Push technology, e-mail integration of up to 10 e-mail accounts, e-mail compatibility, IM, attachment viewing with MS Office or MMS, desktop synchronization, a thumb-operated trackwheel to easily scroll through menus and contacts, HTML and WAP browser, bookmarks, a convenience key, few apps, a USB port, SMS and MMS and some other features which were greatly appreciated.
