The France based electronics company, Archos has released many smartphones in the Indian market. The Helium, Oxygen, Diamond, Xenon and Cesium are the series under which company has launched smartphones. The new entrant is a member of Diamond series called 'Archos Diamond S'. Its a mid-range smartphone that comes loaded with wonderful features. It includes Lollipop OS, large screen, stunning 16 MP primary camera, Octa-core processor and microSD support along with 16 GB memory. The complete details of the specifications are mentioned below:

Display and Design

The smartphone holds a brilliant design and its crystal clear glass finish make it stand out in a crowd. Its front comes dominated with a 5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that supports 16 million color depth and 1280x720 pixels resolution. It also has a 'Corning Gorilla Glass 3' coating at the top of screen for protection. It puts a phone in a premium phones league. The dimension of the phone includes 152.6 mm height, 76.4 mm width, 8.4 mm thickness and 118 grams weight. Its slim body type and light weight make it comfortable to carry and use.

Processor and OS

At the heart, it packs a 1.5GHz octa-core 64-bit processor with MediaTek MT6753 chipset and Mali T720MP3. It is coupled with 2 GB RAM to handle all the operations accurately. The operating system used in this phone is an Android 5.1 Lollipop version. All in all, it processing unit and OS is a good combination for providing fast and accurate functioning of the apps.

Camera and Memory

It comes equipped with 16 MP camera on the back panel that capture quality pictures of 4618x3464 pixels resolution. It also includes feature like LED flash, digital zoom, face detection, geo-tagging and smile detection. For the front shots, it has 8 MP camera on front frame. One can also capture full HD video with both the cameras. In the terms of memory, the device comes loaded with a 16 GB internal memory and an expandable memory of up to 32 GB via microSD card.

The applications like Facebook and Twitter comes pre-loaded in the phone. It supports messaging facilities like SMS, MMS, Email, Push Mail and IM. The connectivity attributes of the phone are Bluetooth v4.0, GPS/A-GPS, microUSB and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It has 2G GSM, 3G HSDPA and 4G LTE network support. While, powering the device for long working hours is 2300mAh battery under the hood.
