Alcatel One Touch Pixi 4007D is a low-end smartphone with Android Gingerbread running through it. It was released by the company in August, 2013 and comes as a packet of a handset, charger, battery, data cable, user manual and warranty card.
It is a compact and good looking device measuring 115 mm in height, 62.3 mm in width and 12.2 mm in thickness. With a weight of only 118 grams , it is easy to use and carry. It has a 3.5 inches TFT screen with 320x480 pixels resolution and 165ppi pixel density.
Pixi 4007D has been powered by 1 GHz processor, fitted with 256 MB RAM ensures snappy performance and easy multitasking. On the software front, it operates on Android v2.3 Gingerbread Operating System and has been assisted with 512 MB of on-board storage which is further expandable up to 32 GB with a microSD card.
This phone is a Dual SIM handset and supports two GSM connections. However, only one SIM appears active during a call. It runs on 2G ( GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 ) and 3G ( HSDPA 900 / 2100 MHz ) network frequencies. SMS, MMS, Email and IM are some of the facilities available on the messaging part. Voice memo has also been availed for sending/ receiving voice messages and the T9 dictionary and Predictive Text Input is also there to help in typing.
For photography, there is a 2 MP rear shooter which is capable of taking videos at 30fps. It also has the video streaming feature.
The phone comes with quite a few goodies to keep you busy. It has the built-in music player supporting AAC, AAC+, AAC enhanced, MP3, MIDI and EAAC formats of audio files. There is also a video player, voice recorder and image viewer. The phone comes equipped with the FM radio with RDS and also gives you the option to play embedded games in your leisure time. The device supports Java environment, so you can install more games and apps. The built in HTML browser can be used to download all kinds of applications from the android market.
Moving on to networking side, the prime attraction of the phone is its connectivity capabilities. It has the 2G and 3G support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, GPRS and EDGE. It provides down-link speed of up to 7.2 Mbps and up-link speed of up to 5.76 Mbps. For data transfer, it also features Bluetooth with A2DP and microUSB support. Talking about its battery, it has been fueled with a Li-ion battery of 1300 mAh which ensures an uninterrupted standby time of up to 500 hours and talktime of 13 hours.
The phone is available in White and Night Sky colors at a price of Rs 3,900 approximately (may vary).
