Acer Liquid Z2 is a small and pocketable smartphone announced in February, 2013 and released in March, 2013. It is a low-end dual SIM smart-phone which supports outdated operating system. It promises a full Android 4.1 experience to a very small price. There is also a variant of this device available with dual SIM functionalities, the Acer Liquid Z2 Duo, but now the user can take the model with one SIM card in hand. The only direct competitors of this handset are LG Optimus L3 II and Samsung Galaxy Young. Below are the features and specifications of handset discussed in brief.
Dominated by a 3.5 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen it delivers a resolution of 320x480 pixels. It is a multi-touch smart-phone which throws a color depth of 256k and holds a pixel density of 165 ppi. It is designed by using a bar format which holds a height of 110 mm, a width of 61.5mm and a thickness of 12.3mm. It carries a weight of grams. It comes loaded with accelerometer sensor and proximity sensor.
There is a Qualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragon Single core 1 GHz processor (CPU) which is further assembled with 512MB RAM which is quite low for multi-tasking. It runs on Android OS, v4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) which is considered as the outdated version of operating system.
The user can take photos or capture videos with the device's onboard 3 MP camera. It releases a resolution of 2560x1920 pixels. There is no front camera for selfies and video calls. It houses an internal memory of 4GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB with the help of micro-SD card.
For the purpose of internet and connectivity, it is being equipped with some options like A-GPS, GPS, bluetooth, USB, EDGE, GPRS and Wi-Fi. It supports 2G (GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and 3G (HSDPA 2100 MHz) network frequencies. It packs a Li-Ion 1300 mAh battery which is rated to deliver a talk-time of up to 4 hours and standby time of up to 450 hours.
