Acer Liquid X1 is the first smartphone by the company that is powered by Octa-core processor. It has been announced in Taiwan and is expected to launch in Q3 in India. It has a stylish outlook with bag full of features.

Design and Display

The phone is designed using a bar format. It has a weight of 160 grams. Its front is dominated by a 5.7 inches IPS capacitive touchscreen with HD resolution of 1280x720 pixels and Zero Air Gap technology.

Hardware and Software

It is powered by 1.7 GHz Octa Core processor and 2 GB RAM. Presence of Quad core graphics processor ensures amazing graphics quality. On the storage part, it has 16 GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32 GB with a microSD slot. The phone operates on the latest Android v4.4 Kitkat Operating System.

Telephony and Messaging

It is a single SIM smartphone that operates on 2G GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz and 3G HSDPA 900 / 2100 MHz and 4G LTE frequencies. For messaging, it supports SMS, MMS, Email and IM. It also has the T9 dictionary that helps in typing. 

Camera

The device has a rear camera of 13 MP with F/1.8 aperture, Zoom, Flash, Free Focus, Bright Magic, Motion Tracking and Full HD video recording features that provide a resolution of 4128x3096 pixels. It also has a 2 MP wide angle front camera that provide a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels.

Entertainment

For entertainment, it features music player, image viewer, video recorder, video player, games, FM radio, ringtones and Java support. It also has inbuilt Google Play, Google Search, Google Maps, Google Calender, Gmail and Youtube. Plus availability of 3.5 mm jack further increases its capabilities.

Connectivity and Battery

The device has connectivity options for GPRS, Wi-Fi, EDGE, Bluetooth, USB and handsfree. It also features GPS with A-GPS support to help in navigation. The phone packs a Li-ion battery of 2700 mAh.

Other Features

It has Acer Zoom Fit feature with which you can reduce the user interface to just 4 inches for one handed usage. It's AcerRAPID feature lets you to attend phone calls, open camera or launch apps easily. It also has the AcerFLOAT feature which allows you to do on screen multitasking without having to back out of applications. With the Build your Own Cloud ( BYOC ) facility user can store his / her files on a secure and reliable platform.

Shades

The phone would be made available in Black and Red colors.

Verdict

Liquid X1 offers LTE connectivity, Octa core processing power and amazing imaging capabilities along with an elegant design. So it would be truly a good smartphone to buy.
