Design and Build Quality

The Asha 303 is a decent phone with the option of both touch as well as type. It has a height of 116.5mm, width of 55.7mm and a thickness of 13.9mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 99 grams. The device flaunts a TFT capacitive touchscreen of 2.6-inches which provides a resolution of 320x240 pixels with 154ppi of pixel density. It also features a qwerty keypad below the display.

Hardware and Software

Powering the phone is a 1GHz processor along with a 128MB of RAM. The Asha 303 has an internal memory of 170 MB, out of which 100 MB is available to the user. It can be expanded up to 32GB via micro SD card. The device runs on Proprietary operating system.

Telephony and Messaging

The Nokia Asha 303 supports 2G(GSM 850/900/1800/1900) and 3G (HSDPA 850/900/1700/1900/2100) frequencies. One can store a list of 200 contacts to the phonebook. SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Email and IM are the messaging and email facilities available for the device. It is also featured with predictive text input in order to facilitate typing.

Camera

The phone has a primary camera of 3.2MP which provides a photo resolution of 2048x1536 pixels. It is featured with a fixed focus, sequence mode, still image editor, self timer, active toolbar, full screen view finder and face detection. There is no secondary camera available for the device.

Multimedia

The Asha 303 comes with a Nokia music manager app and a stereo FM radio with RDS. The device supports the popular music formats which includes WAV, MP4, AAC, MP3, M4A, NRT, WMA, MIDI, AMR and MF. The phone is also featured with a video player, voice and audio recorder. One can record 480p videos on to the device.

Connectivity and Battery

The connectivity attributes of the Asha 303 includes GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and EDR and micro USB v2.0. The device also has a support for 3.5G network. The Asha 303 is equipped with a Li-Ion 1300 mAh battery which offers a talk-time up to 8 hours 10 minutes on 2G and up to 7 hours 10 minutes on 3G along with a stand-by time  up to 720 hours on 2G and up to 840 hours on 3G network.

Browser and Apps

The WAP browser is given to handle the contents and apps. It also comes pre-loaded with a digital clock, recorder, calculator, clock, calendar, converter, fixed dialing number, notes, alarm clock, reminders, phonebook and an alarm clock with ring-tones. The social networking apps like Facebook are loaded on to the device.

Shades

The Nokia Asha 303 is available in six shades: Red, Graphite, Silver White, Aqua, Green and Purple.

The approximate price of this phone is around Rs.7,635. The main competitors of Nokia Asha 303 are Sony Xperia E, Nokia Lumia 520, Samsung Galaxy Trend S7392 and Nokia X in terms of price as well as features.
