The Maxx MQ601 is a QWERTY phone with dual SIM capabilities which was announced in July, 2011. It comes in a pack with a charger, battery, headset, micro USB and an user manual. Let's take a closer look at its specifications.

Design and Display

Maxx MQ601 is a good looking phone along with a Qwerty keypad. The edges are curved gently which makes it easy to use and carry. It measures 109.25mm in height, 57.28mm in width and 13.26mm in thickness and has a weight of 71.3 grams. The front panel features a TFT display of 2.4-inches and a keypad which responds well to the inputs.

Memory

The MQ601 has the capacity to store a list of 400 contacts to its phonebook. It can also store up to 250 SMS. The external memory of phone can be increased up to 8 GB with the help of a micro SD card.

Telephony and Messaging

Maxx MQ601 is a dual SIM (GSM+GSM) device that operates on GSM 900/1800 MHz frequencies. The SMS, MMS and email are the messaging and emailing facilities available for this device. It is also featured with a T9 dictionary in order to facilitate typing.

Camera

The phone comes with a 2 MP rear camera which is featured with a digital zoom and takes 1600x1200 resolution pictures. Unfortunately, the MQ601 does not have any front camera for video calling purposes.

Connectivity and Battery

On the connectivity front, the phone has GPRS, Bluetooth, micro USB and hands-free connectivity. It is powered by a Li-Ion 1000 mAhbattery which delivers a talk-time up to 3.5-4 hours and a stand-by time up to 300-350 hours.
