MAX 12 is a dual SIM device by Maximus announced on March, 2014. It is an android phone having average looks and features. It is a budget phone works on 2G (GSM 900/1800 MHz) and 3G (UMTS 2100 MHz) network frequencies. It is a bar style device that comes with box contents comprising handset, battery, earphone, charger, user manual and USB cable.

Display and Design

The front is dominated by a 3.5 inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen having resolution of 320x480 pixels with 165 ppi pixel density. The dimensions of the phone are measured as 119x63x10.5mm and featured with G-sensor.

Processor and Operating System

The phone possesses a Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and is powered by 1.0 GHz dual core processor mated with 512 MB RAM.

Camera

The affordable handset comes with two cameras, a 3.2-megapixel primary one at the back to click images and a front facing VGA one at the front for video calling. The rear camera features digital zoom and offers the photo resolution of 2048x1536 pixels and the secondary promises 640x480 pixels resolution which is not up to the mark.

Connectivity and Battery

Maximus MAX 12 is packed with internet and connectivity features like GPRS, USB, FM Radio, 3G, EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11, EDGE and WLAN . It is equipped with 1200 mAh Li-Ion with the capacity to provide 7 hours of talk-time and 300 hours of stand-by time.

Memory

It boasts a 4GB internal memory and has 32GB expandable memory which can be used while inserting memory card slot.

Multimedia and Other Features

The device comes with entertainment features including FM Radio, music player, video player and voice recording . SMS, MMS and Email is also provided for the sharing of texts and mails from one device to another. It is loaded with common features namely calendar, alarm clock and calculator.
