HTC is known for its quality products across the world. The HTC HD2 is one of its windows smartphone which was announced in October, 2009. The phone is described in detail below.

Design and Display

The HTC HD2 is a bar shaped device which comes with a height of 120.5 mm, width of 67 mm and a thickness of 11 mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 157 grams. The smartphone features a TFT capacitive touchscreen of 4.3-inches which provides a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels with a ~217 ppi of pixel density.

Hardware and Software

It runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 professional operating system. Powering the HD2 is a 1GHz Scorpion processor with a Qualcomm QSD8250 chip-set and Adreno 200 GPU. It has a RAM of 448 MB and a ROM of 512 MB. The phone features a micro SD slot which can accommodate a micro SD card up to 32 GB.

Telephony and Messaging

The HTC HD2 supports 2G (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) and 3G (HSDPA 900/2100) frequencies. MMS (threaded view), SMS, Email and IM are some of the messaging and email facilities available for the device.

Camera and Music player

The smartphone is equipped with a primary camera of 5 MP which provides a photo resolution of 2592x1944 pixels and is featured with dual LED flash, auto-focus and Geo-tagging. The HD2 has a music player, FM radio, video player and recorder for the entertainment of users. One can record 480p videos on to the device.

Connectivity, Apps and Battery

The connectivity offers 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE and micro USB. It has A-GPS support to facilitate navigation. The smartphone comes pre-loaded with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pocket office, HTC peep and HTC footprints. It packs a Li-Ion 1230 mAh battery which offers a talk-time up to 6 hours 20 minutes on 2G and up to 5 hours 40 minutes on 3G along with a stand by up to 490 hours on 2G and up to 390 hours on 3G network.
