HTC Desire 601 is one of the latest dual SIM smartphone by Taiwanese manufacturer HTC which was released in November, 2013 in Taiwan. It has a removable Li-Poly 2100mAh battery with a 3G stand-by time of up to 440 hours and a talk time of up to 12.8 hours and runs on 2G(GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz), 3G(UMTS 900/1900/2100MHz) and 4G(LTE 800/900/1800/2600MHz) networks. It has a height of 134.5mm, a width of 66.7mm and a thickness of 9.9mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 130gms. It will be available in White, Black and Red shades at a price of 10,900 NTD(in Taiwan) or US$ 370. It has got a 4.5-inch, capacitive and multi-touch, TFT touchscreen with a qHD resolution of 540x960 pixels, 245ppi pixel density, 16 million colors display, Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection and HTC Sense 5.0 user interface along with HTC BlinkFeed. It has a RAM of 1GB and an internal memory of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 64GB via a microSD memory card. It is an Android v4.2.2, Jelly Bean OS based smartphone with a dual-core 1.4GHz Krait processor, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, an Adreno 305 GPU and some great sensors such as accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, compass and magnetometer.

HTC Desire 601 has got a 5.0MP rear camera with a resolution of 2592x1944 pixels, digital zoom, auto-focus, LED flash, touch focus, F2.0 aperture, 28mm lens, HTC image chip, continuous shooting and VideoPic, BSI sensor, HTC Zoe with sequence shot, always smile and object removal, face and smile detection, geo-tagging, ISO control, HRD and Panorama mode, digital image stabilization and can play as well as record videos of 1080p@30fps with slow motion recording having variable speed playback. It has also got a 0.3MP VGA front camera for recording and video calling.

For messaging, it has got SMS, MMS, E-mail, Push E-mail, IM and integrated social networking sites along with predictive text input. For connectivity, it includes a GPRS and EDGE, WLAN feature with IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi direct, DLNA and Wi-Fi hotspot, HTC Connect, an aptX enabled v4.0 Bluetooth with A2DP and a v2.0 micro USB port with USB on-the-go and USB host. It has also got other features such as GPS with A-GPS support and GLONASS, a 3.5mm stereo audio jack, HTC BoomSound, dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers, sense voice, a HTML5 browser, a FM radio, turn-by-turn navigation, tethering, computer and OTA sync, Java via MIDP emulator, 25GB Dropbox storage, active noise cancellation with a dedicated mic, an organizer, a document viewer/editor, a photo/video viewer/editor, voice memo/dials/commands and many more.
