Aircel was founded in 1999 and provides wireless voice, messaging and data services in India. Presently, the CEO of Aircel is Mr. Sandip Das. It has the largest service in Tamil Nadu. Aircel is one of the sponsors of Chennai Super Kings, an Indian Premier League Cricket Team. It is also the major sponsors for Chennai Open and Professional Golf Tour of India. Aircel has won many awards for its services. Aircel introduced innovative Pocket Internet cards for different days package for Free GPRS service. Aircel became first to offer online service to subscribe and manage Dialer tunes. It is first in the country to offer services like, SMS bank, Phone Book, Reminder, Talking SMS.
